Think this may be the lab for you?

Postdoctoral Researcher
Posted: July 1, 2021
Potential Start Date: September 2021

If you are interested in working as a postdoctoral researcher in Oswald laboratory, please contact us. Our research focuses on olfactory representations in orbitofrontal and piriform cortices. We study the circuit and synaptic mechanisms underlying assembly formation during olfactory task learning and performance.  We use complementary in vivo and in vitro recording techniques in conjunction with genetic labeling and circuit manipulation.  Experience in any one of these areas is a requirement.  Most members of our group work in collaboration with theoretical neuroscientists and are encouraged to learn computational techniques.  If you would like more information please contact Anne-Marie Oswald at amoswald@uchicago.edu

Research Tools Available

  • electrophysiology (in vivo/in vitro)
  • genetic tools for circuit interrogation
  • behavior
  • computation

Required Experience

  • PhD in Neuroscience or related
  • Electrophysiology (in vitro/in vivo)
  • Publication record
